Get a QuoteYes, they can be specified to come with a traffic door. For those who are unaware of what a traffic door is, it is a single panel door that is operated independently from the bifold door panels. They work like a traditional door (opening inwards or outwards) and because you don’t have to operate the whole bifold door system, they allow you to transition more quickly between different areas of the home.
Bifold doors come in standard sizes or they can be made-to-measure in order to accommodate larger and smaller apertures. Available in 38 different configurations and able to accommodate spaces up to 3m high and 7m wide, bifold doors can be used in place of a whole wall provided suitable structural support is present.
Yes, they are. As standard, our bifold doors are equipped with toughened safety glass plus they are double glazed. This means it’s considerably safer than standard glass too. Want to learn more about the security features of bifold doors?
Ultimately, this will depend on your individual circumstances. At a basic level, bifold doors can accommodate a larger aperture and tend to be better suited to contemporary architectural styles whilst the classic design of French doors makes them an excellent option for traditional homes. The door threshold is the strip that runs along the bottom of the door frame. Unlike standard threshold options, a low threshold sits flush with the level of the floor, allowing for unobstructed movement between different areas of your property. This makes it a great option for when wheelchair access is required.
