That’s why we’re proud to share that Emerald Windows and Doors, an award-winning window and door installer based in Swindon, has once again been shortlisted for three categories at the GGP Installer Awards 2026.

This year, we’ve been recognised for:

• Best Heritage Installation

• Services to the Industry – Shauna Brett

Being recognised across three categories is something we’re incredibly proud of as a team, and it reflects the care and attention that goes into every installation we carry out.

What are the GGP Installer Awards?

The GGP Installer Awards celebrate some of the best window and door companies across the UK.

Installers don’t just submit photos – each entry requires detailed information about the project, including specifications, challenges faced, how the work was delivered, and evidence that the installation met the customer’s expectations in terms of quality, budget and timescales.

Entries are then reviewed by an experienced judging panel made up of industry professionals. This includes figures such as the Director of Inspection and Assessment at RISA and the Executive Chair of CERTASS, both of whom oversee and assess thousands of installations across the UK each year.

Because of this, the judging process goes far beyond appearance alone. It focuses on how well a project has been planned, delivered and finished from a homeowner’s perspective.

So, being shortlisted in three categories means our work hasn’t just looked good – it’s been recognised for how it performs in real homes, by people who understand what quality installation should look like.

Best Feature Door Installation

From giveaway winner to standout installation

One of our shortlisted projects comes from something a little different: our Christmas composite door giveaway.

Chris and Tasha from Swindon entered after living with an older uPVC door that had become worn, draughty and unreliable over time. Like many homeowners, replacing it was something they knew needed doing… but kept putting off.

That changed when they won.

From designing their door in our showroom to the final installation, the goal was simple: create something that looked great, felt solid, and made a noticeable difference day to day.

They immediately noticed a warmer hallway, along with a much more secure and solid feel when closing the door. Just as importantly, they now have a front entrance they’re genuinely proud of.

It’s a perfect example of how the right door, paired with the right installation, can completely change how your home feels.

Best Heritage Installation

Making a new home feel like it’s always been there

Our Best Heritage Installation shortlist comes from a self-build project in the Cotswolds.

The homeowners weren’t just building a house; they were creating a home that needed to belong in its surroundings. Traditional stone, rural views, and a very clear vision:

It shouldn’t look like a new build.

After being let down by a previous installer, trust was a big factor. They needed a company that would not only deliver the right result, but actually understand what they were trying to achieve.

Using Residence Collection R7 windows, carefully chosen colours, and a detail-focused installation approach, the finished home now looks completely in keeping with traditional Cotswold properties. Inside, it feels noticeably warmer and quieter, all while avoiding the typical “modern plastic window” look.

For the homeowners, the biggest result wasn’t just the appearance — it was the relief of finally seeing their vision brought to life properly.

Services to the Industry – Shauna Brett

The person behind the standards

We’re also incredibly proud that our General Manager, Shauna Brett, has been shortlisted for Services to the Industry.

As the founder’s daughter and a key part of Emerald’s leadership, Shauna plays a huge role in both the business and the people within it.

From supporting the team day to day to making sure every project runs smoothly behind the scenes, her work helps create the kind of company customers actually want to deal with: organised, reliable and genuinely helpful.

This nomination reflects the effort that often goes unseen, but makes all the difference to both the team and the customers we work with.
