Last month the expert installers from Emerald Windows helped complete a house extension and refurbishment by adding the finishing touches of new windows and doors. This house in Wallingford, Oxfordshire, needed updated windows to match the new extension and make it look fresh.
Mrs Hunn wanted cream aluminium bifold doors to enhance her new extension which we expertly installed with little hassle. Bifold doors have grown in popularity over the last few years and create a seamless link between your home and outside space. This therefore allows you to make the most of your garden throughout the year. Their unique opening configuration allows the doors to be stacked on one side giving you maximum space and generous views.
A bespoke raked window was installed above the bifold doors allowing the maximum natural light into the room. Bespoke windows are also great at being a unique talking point. We also fitted uPVC French doors which give extensive outside views while retaining heat and allowing you to control ventilation. Like all of our products these can be customised to be any colour that you would like.
Mrs Hunn also took advantage of our range of uPVC windows with astragal bars to renovate her older frames. Astragal bars are a classic Georgian design which add that heritage feel to a modern property. We have a wide range of uPVC, timber, aluminium and timber effect windows for you to choose from. A black composite door was provided for Mrs Hunn which perfectly contrasted with the other colours present in her house. As one of the most efficient doors on the market, these come coated with glass reinforced plastic. The multi-layers in the door add strength and security to an already high performing door. Compared to standard doors the biggest advantage of these are its ability to effectively prevent heat escaping from the home.
The overall result of the extension is extremely impressive and Mrs Hunn was very pleased with the look of her new windows and doors.
